OGT Counterflow Splash Fill

OGT is a completely non-fouling splash fill because of the limited surface area exposed to the falling water. It has been widely employed in utilities, refineries, sugar mills, steel mills, and food processing plants where fill fouling had previously been a problem.

The key to achieving the best performance in a splash fill is to produce the greatest amount of water surface area that is accessible to the passing air by increasing the number of water droplets per unit volume of water and reducing the size of those droplets.

High Efficiency

More and smaller droplets were formed if the cascading water droplets were subject to repeated shearing action provided the optimum heat transfer efficiency.

Arrangement

Supported by polypropylene supports specifically made to hold the grid together, and equally spaced tiers along the width and length of the cell. Special clips are used to attach each grid in each tier, securing the entire fill assembly firmly in place.

Material

OGT grids are made of polypropylene, which acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, as well as biological and chemical attack are not effective against it. UV inhibitors are present in the grid, which can endure continuous operating at high temperatures.
